Rhythmbox freezes when launching it while writing CD using Nautilus CD Burner

It's true, i'm using ubuntu 6.06 and while i'm burning a cd or dvd and the Rhythmbox is in icon-tray it freezes, but the sound keeps playing.

you wrote "or just cancel it and choose ISO image to burn", does it mean it happens too when you write to an image without using the CD?

No, it mean I cancel dialog of choosing what kind of CD I want to create and then went to choose one iso file, click right button of mouse, choosed "Burn to disk..." and then while I burned CD/DVD, Rhythmbox didn't start to play and freeze, as it was waiting for CD drive to be free and verified.

Strange thing is that I can't replicate it on fresh install with updates, so it could be that this bug is gone.

I can confirm that this happens for me when burning data DVD's or any kind of ISO.

Does anybody still have the issue with edgy and could get a backtrace?

According to bug #72477 that's fixed with rhythmbox 0.9.6. Marking as fixed. We might consider a backport of the fix if we get enough informations to figure what change fixed it exactly and how easy is the patch for it

<a href="http://www.getdeb.net/release.php?id=91">This package</a> is the one i tested it with, it worked but felt kind of flacky(error message about ipod every startup, ...). Now i use the off. dapper version again and i hope there's not too much changed so the fix can be backported.

Actually I now have this problem with gutsy. When I insert a rewritable CD, rhtyhmbox freezes as soon as I start to erase and burn that disc with GnomeBaker or whatever.
