Further filtering options for the Queue

Bug Description

To make our lives easier, we want more filtering options, that will help when the queue is full of requests, (as it was during the dapper cycle):

1) Filter by series/distro entries
2) Filter out "Rosetta Admins" generated requests, so we only see human-generated entries.

An idea from SteveA: now that translation priorities are going to land, it'd be useful to be able to filter using them so that the Rosetta Expert can take a look at those first.

Changed in rosetta:

Option 1) is implemented.

I need to work on other tasks more urgent so I will work in option 2) later.

About the priorities...

Most of the entries don't even know its potemplate, and when they know it, are ready to be imported. I don't think we should add more complexity to the filtering code for those.

Another option would be to give more priority to be imported first, the entries with high priority. But that's an unrelated issue with this bug.

I had a phone call with Steve about this and we agreed on restructure what we have atm, and simplify the UI for our users and leave current version to Rosetta Experts.

This implies that the users will see from URLs like:

- https://launchpad.net/people/joe.user/+translationimportqueue : all their requests and their status and they will be able to change it as they do with our current page.

- https://launchpad.net/products/foo.product/+translationimportqueue : all the requests and their status for the given product.

And the same with other contexts.

Current page at https://launchpad.net/rosetta/imports will be a simple view without filtering or editing options were you could see the order and the amount of files that are being imported (have the APPROVED status)

Increase its importance because with a lot of entries, current import queue is useless for our users.

Hi,

When translating (in Rosetta/Lunchpad), there are filtering options "Show:"

all / untranslated / need review / translated

If you add a filter option "without suggestions" you will enable non-translators to help you more often!

OT: isn't what @prife asking for essentially the Untranslated option?

OT: Kiko, it's not. The full description would be "Untranslated *and* without any suggestions" (i.e. inactive ones, which might only be a job for reviewer to activate).

Oh. I think untranslated can be interpreted to mean "no translation has been ever provided in this context" -- regardless of whether it is an approved translation or not. You need to think about it from the perspective of the common user coming in, I think -- he'll want to see translations which haven't seen any attention at all.

Hi,

Sorry for not being much active. Think of it this way: I am a noob and though translating stuff might help. So I go and look on a translation, but even if it is considered "untranslated" there are lots of suggestions from noobs like me, that are no "real" translators.
So I thought, if you add i filtering option saying "no suggestions", it would enable those that just want to do a quick help, but dont have time to be serious to filter, get all the places where no one have suggested anything and then add suggestions themselves, so when a "real" translator starts workin, he has an easier job.

So it is not a "but-report", just a suggestion for more filters.

Mostly done, did a big rewrite after a preimplementation call so it's not ready for 1.1.6
