Bug Description

The page:

http://www.ubuntu.com/products/GetUbuntu/download#currentrelease

Says:

"To use BitTorrent, choose a link from above corresponding to a location near you. You will see an option for a torrent file."

However such an option does not exist. Some mirrors have torrents under "Other installation options", but there is no mention of torrents next to this option.

I agree and propose another step in addition to this correction. In addition to fixing the link, make them a separate section just below the main mirrors list, and make them more visible. Most experienced home users would prefer this method of distribution due to the speed of the bittorrent network.

Yes, I confirm as follows:

To obtain a torrent from the North American mirrors:

USC Beaufort - other installation options - no web page... just generates FTP listing - The torrents are buried in the directory listing

All other mirrors - Other installation options - Torrents only listed in the FTP directory listing at the bottom of the page

We should have a single torrent link, hosted off ubuntu.com. Nuzum, how do we go about this?

The description is now correct, thanks for your bug. It's not particularly user-friendly yet, but then again, torrents will tend to be used by users who know what they are doing.
