Quill 0.9.0 "Color me backgrounded"
This release brings Quill much closer to 1.0, adding background support and thus PDF note-taking support. This release corresponds to the version entered into the Qt Centre Programming Contest, except for a couple of bug fixes that were made relating to stroke degradation over several saves and multiple saves in one session causing unloadable files.

Release notes
This release represents over a month of development, as background support was merged into the main Quill branch some time after the last release.
Quill 0.9.0 brings support for various backgrounds for each page. These include PDF backgrounds (if Quill is compiled with Poppler support, the default), solid color backgrounds (including the white default), and image-based backgrounds (currently the way to do notebook-paper-like backgrounds). The background framework is easily extensible, so support for a dedicated notebook-paper background renderer, for example, is likely.
Along with background support, this release also brings a settings framework, including some preliminary settings for most tools and for configuring the backgrounds of new documents and pages. It also brings a working File->New menu item, which apparently had been neglected earlier...
Finally, a rudimentary help system was integrated, based on QtWebKit.
In the bug fix world, an elusive stroke degradation bug that only seriously manifested over a sizable number of saves was fixed.
