I read it above now, sorry for the redundant question. LC_ALL=de_DE.UTF-8. I cannot replicate the problem setting this. Perhaps there is something in your settings which I do not have. Please can you attach a .zip with your ~/.stellarium/config.ini and ~/.stellarium/modules/Satellites/*
