Thx a lot Olivier and Dan, for the very quick turnaround on this.
I tested 'latest/edge/test-lp-1993257' meanwhile in 6 slightly different installation cases and I'm pretty confident that this issue (ui crash) is solved.
(Please ignore the DASD related issue, like mentioned before, this was on a system level.)
