Hi there! I'm not the OP but I've had the same issue, also on a MacBook Pro 2017 whilst installing 23.04.

My layout is a little different, it's something like: 1GB for the EFI system partition; 125GB for macOS; 1GB for Ubuntu /boot, and 124GB for Ubuntu /.
