A 'gjs' process is usually caused by the Desktop Icons NG extension, although it may also be caused by other extensions. It is not necessarily a bug in the extension that owns the gjs process but more likely a bug in the dock/panel extension that is displaying the icon.

Please start by removing all unsupported extensions:

  cd ~/.local/share/gnome-shell
  rm -rf extensions

and then log in again. Does the problem still occur?
