Hi Bryce,
yesterday night i reinstall jaunty. I installed Alpha3 with hope that back will disappear. But It is not.
Now I have system by default except: I removed games, and install: CompizConfig Setting manager, and Gnome SWF player.
I left computer turn on overnight and at morning It was frozen. It show black screen but monitor wasn't switch off. In my power management I turn on screensaver after 10 min idl with screen lock and switch off monitor in 11 minutes.
It don't have mouse, don't ask password, it didn't respond on Alt+SysRq+R with following Cntr+Alt+Del.
after this I pressed Alt+SysRq+R1tseiub. It saved log and reboot.
In log absent messages out of memory but I don't know when it freeze really.
I will try to look on memory using.
I have now 3Gb memory.
