Natalija, thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. Please answer these questions:

(1) "system crashes" -- the whole system, or just MoviePlayer?
(2) Natalija, can you provide us with the AVI (if it is not copyrighted/restricted access)?

This will help us to find and resolve the problem.
