Comment 2 for bug 146614

I have been told something to the effect that it is normal for apt to complain about completely random packages being uninstallable when it is actually another package that is the problem. If this is true then the perl problem in the archive is probably the fault of this error. But it still would be nice if apt could complain about packages that actually have problems instead of packages that are perfectly fine. It is extremely confusing even to advanced users the way it currently complains.
