how would we know? how would you know?

all we do is try to update, get an error, and report the bug, like the helpful ubuntu enthousiasts we are.
The bug description matches this bug's word for word. Launchpad itself directed me to this particular bug. who am i not to follow?

i'd appreciate if I weren't told to stop reporting bugs, on launchpad.

i see this bug is supposed to be fixed, however, i'm still getting the error.
