Can confirm this too. I'm also storing my automount map in LDAP. After a fresh boot autofs loads the map from LDAP but does not initialze any mount points:

Configured Mount Points:
------------------------
/usr/sbin/automount --timeout=60 --ghost /data/nfs/home ldap ou=auto.home,ou=automount,dc=exampe,dc=com
/usr/sbin/automount --timeout=60 --ghost /data/nfs/shares ldap ou=auto.misc,ou=automount,dc=example,dc=com
