I've been reading through much of the Ubuntu docs on development, contribution, releases etc.
I now have the feeling that version upgrades only occur between releases, so therefore backuppc v3.1 will only be packaged for, and tested with hardy.
So a sysadmin of a backuppc server should expect to upgrade his Ubuntu release every 6 months to stay current with developments in backuppc.

Have I understood the process correctly?
