Test results for:

Sony SRS-XB2 ...... : FAIL (need to reconnect manually via the Settings GUI)
HP KT-1281 keyboard : PARTIAL (hit keys, then reconnected according to indicator but input never works)

So overall PASS. There is no regression that I can see. Just note that some device types will never reconnect. And many need to be touched (e.g. mouse moved or key pressed) before it will wake and get auto-reconnected.
Tip: You can view the Bluetooth indicator on the login screen to view its (slow) progress in reconnecting things.
It appears my HP keyboard is just broken. For the above and other reasons (trouble turning on and trouble pairing, even with new batteries). I will omit it from future tests.
