I was unable to reproduce this error. I did notice this in the error log:

BraseroGrowisofs stderr: :-( /dev/sr0: media is not recognized as recordable DVD: 10

It looks like it doesn't like your DVD.. I assume that you have tried multiple different DVD's? Maybe even a different brand?
