Mikael Gerdin's solution looks the simpler, and maybe the only that could be implemented before the freeze. I'm not sure this kind of fix is still allowed after the feature freeze, but beta freeze is on March 9th, if nobody plans to ask for an exception. Does anybody in the devel team cares about this bug for Feisty ?

Using cdrskin is a larger question: this may be a user choice, but newbies won't find out how to make their burner work until the default install is corrected in any way.
