Comment 23 for bug 106008

I was having exactly the same issue, it started suddenly and I couldn't discover the reason. Solved it by running gconf, then apps-->gksu and marking the option 'disable-grab'. It's basically the same as adding the -g option to gksu. But this way makes it automatic for all administrative applications...
