Comment 29 for bug 541595

I am not really knowledgable about ubuntu or linux but have used for a few years. After updating my screen froze at "checking battery state". I ran a recovery from my earliest version and rebooted. Got to my desktop and mostly seems to be working. Am getting messages about failure to install certain packages. Will continue to use and hope it works out. Thanks.
