Thanks Dustin. I'm trying to think what could be missing here. How sure are you that the home directory is being unmounted? The lazy umount that is done on encrypted home makes me a bit weary when trying this script in a tight loop.

Nobuto - how are you performing the login when triggering this? Over ssh, su - USER, lightdm, etc.?
