Setting priority to low because the desktop team has others bugs to fix first and will not work on that one now, we will review patches though ;) Feel free to discuss it on the ubuntu-desktop mailing list if you want. Other way you can comment on that bug but that's not really a place for open discussion rather for discussing patches or changes to do
