Strangely, it now happens to the machine that didnt have the patches, and it only happens when loading the inbox. I thought this was related to an email, and delete one by one todays mail. It turned out it was a meeting request, whic is wierd, because I've been using it to do this for some time (as an outlook client).
Forget gtk, this is down to parsing meeting requests....
