I tried different directory and the error is still present. I also completely removed file-roller (with the configuration) and reinstalled it again but no help.

BUT I think that I found the problematic part.
If you double-click the archive I've sent and press the extract button than in the dialog window where you choose the directory to extract to then for the Extract option you have chosen "All files" and "Selected files" is grayed(unavailable). I presume this is how you tried to extract the file, and it seams that it works this way.

Try double-clicking the archive I've sent, then click on the file in the archive and then press Extract. This time in the dialog window where you choose the directory to extract to you have chosen "Selected files" (at least that is what is selected on my computer). Now try to extract the file and I believe you'll see the bug I am (was) getting.
