It is a known fact that amd64's firefox cannot run 32bits plugins, being the most notable ones macromedia flash and java.
Ubuntu-amd64 already ships ia32-libs, ia32-libs-gtk and ia32-libs-kde (for running 32-bit openoffice), so most of work is already done.
A firefox32 package for ubuntu amd64 is desireable for the following reasons:
- several banks require java plugin (and sometimes flash) for accessing their netbanking sites
- viewing ads :-)
- if you upgrade firefox, it tens to return to 64bit version
the same way, packages for java and flash as 32bit firefox's plugins would be greatly useful.
