if you see this issue:

can you please test if starting in safe mode helps, aka:

 # firefox -safe-mode

if it does this problem is probably due to some extension installed. Please track down which one causes the problem by uninstalling one at a time until the problem disappear.

Maybe downloadstatusbar extension is our problem here?
