Bug Description

Binary package hint: firefox

use firefox with a proxy server configured with automatic proxy and network detection, browse on websites with a big lag (takes time to answer) or block the network going on the outside from the proxy.

Firefox is freezing, you can't click anywhere on its window, no reaction. The only thing feseable is to force to quit.

We have instructions on debugging some types of Firefox problems. https://wiki.ubuntu.com/MozillaTeam/Bugs

Can you reproduce this bug with a new profile? Thanks!

What more information can I give ?

The typical network concerned by this report is as is :

workstations -- proxy -- firewall -- internet

if the firewall or internet part is failling (non answering), Firefox have the described behaviour.

When switching workspaces in Xwindow, the Firefox window is not refreshed, you see the content of the previous workspace in the window, you can't click anywhere, clicking on the close button on the title bar has no immediate action you have to wait for the "force to quit message".

Tested on many systems, not just one machine.

You may find it helpful to read "How to report bugs effectively", http://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~sgtatham/bugs.html. We'd be grateful if you would then provide a more complete description of the problem.
