I think you're misunderstanding the patch. Milestone.pm exposes $major.$minor.$mini.$micro and this patch takes $major.$minor and strips of any alpha/beta indicators. That's unless I'm missing something...

Actuallly it's because we load http:// www.mozilla. org/projects/ %APP%/% VERSION% /whatsnew/, there's no need to sniff.
