As I said this happens mainly under Beryl. With beryl disabled, which I did today, it crashed only once. I'm on KDE, so I can't really say what GTK extension I'm using. as far as plugins:
My firefox is practically clean as far as addons/extensions go, the only plugins I have are flash and mplayer. Alos on beryl I was using the AIGLX engine. hope this helps :
