IMO isn't problem in Firefox, but somewhere in X. In my case all apps are told, that ARGB visuals are present, but they aren't (I've had a small problem with this before). I was told at #67806 that I should switch off composite, but I neither enabled explicitly composite nor did so some post-install script.
