I confirm this bug on an Inspiron 8200 and Latitude D620 with NVidia video cards.

Steps to reproduce:

1.) Install ubuntu (fonts look good)
2.) Install nvidia driver (nvidia-glx)
3.) restart X
4.) fonts look too large
