Bug Description

When I suspend the first time, I don't get a blank screen and the logout dialog is not shown. However, due to https://launchpad.net/distros/ubuntu/+source/gnome-power-manager/+bug/31103 I relaunch g-p-m and when I resume the screen gets blanked a second and I get the logout dialog shown.

Can you please re-try this with up-to-date dapper and let me know if it still occurs?

Still happens to me. g-p-m is 0.3.4-0ubuntu6 and gnome-session is 2.13.90-0ubuntu2.

Okay, this is because g-p-m is receiving a power button event as part of the resume cycle. as per bug 30465

I'm investigating

I have this problem with up to date dapper (earlier today):
ii gnome-power-manager 2.14.3-0ubuntu3 Power management policy frontend for GNOME

When resuming from suspend to ram, the screen is locked. After logging in, the screen fades and the logout dialog is shown ... sometimes twice ... I can provide really quick feedback on new versions if need be.

I can no longer reproduce this ... As far as I'm concerned, mark it as fix released. Currently, it shows a locked screen on resume.

I can't reproduce it either anymore. I guess you can close it.

I have an up-to-date Feisty (dist-upgrade from Edgy).
If logout dialog appear on power button event and choose "Hibernate" I get this same dialog when resuming.
Of course I get blank screen to unlock just before.

But I think I known why : Two logout dialog appear when pushing power button.
My laptop is Dell 640m.

So, It's not a GPM bug, but a bug of this logout dialog. It should not accept his own duplication.
