Assigning to kernel since it's a kernel ACPI issue.
Unfortunately, the upstream bug report says that the Amilo 3520 doesn't support ACPI properly so the chances of fixing this are small. I'll leave the report confirmed, though, and let the Ubuntu kernel guys figure that out.
