Comment 51 for bug 58171

I am experiencing the same problem in a fresh amd64 installation of lucid. The bug persists after upgrading to maverick. I would paste the strace of gnome-session and X applications but is the same as the ones pasted above (apps get stuck reading from /tmp/.ICE-unix and gnome-session gets stuck in a call to poll)

Adding my local host-name to /etc/hosts did not help. Neither did disabling ipv6.

In my particular case, the problem only happens when connected to the internet through wifi (everything works while connected through my ethernet card or if I disable the wifi interface).
