Still seeing this issue in Jaunty-64, including mint
When creating a samba share via shared-admin or webmin (quick & easy), share details show up in /etc/samba/smb.conf
When creating the share(s) via nautilus, right-click, sharing options (File Manager: Folder Sharing), the shares don't feature in smb.conf of share-admin utility. Not sure at all where the latter settings are stored or how it's accessed (no leads from smb.conf).
On mint system, shares created in one utility do not show up in any of the others (may have to confirm this again on other systems @ work)
Seems to point to a inconsistency in samba configuration & sharing
