I can confirm the bug.
Also I changed the command from the launcher properties. I put exactly this command:
gnome-terminal --hide-menubar --working-directory=%f --full-screen
When I click the launcher, the GNOME Terminal opens in full screen but immediatly resizes back to normal windowed mode. Sometimes it works, randomly. Fails more often than it works.
Configuration: Ubuntu Linux 5.10 Breezy Badger GNOME 2.12.1 Metacity 2.12.1 GNOME Terminal 2.12.0
