For the casual Ubuntu/Windows user this problem will be difficult to resolve. Spent time trying to diagnose a Windows error code 0xc0000428 without success. Should have stopped and submitted a bug against grub when I found that booting Windows via bios works but I didn't and rebuilt my Windows system. Waste of time.
