I just ask to the Shotwell list why this menu doesn't displayed entirely and they tell me that it is a "feature"...
I think this is clearly bad, and I hope it will be changed one time.

I attach a screen-shot of how it is displayed in Ubuntu 10.10 and Shotwell 0.9.1.
