FYI , there is nothing being done to 'accommodate one icon theme' ,the
monochrome icons were done in Humanity only after the Ubuntu UX team
wanted them monochrome. Previously Humanity had color panel icons too.

I disagree with that... We got a new icon added to the bluetooth just
because we started using a different icon for the panel. see Bug #437162

Upstream devs aernt difficult, you just have to make sense when
requesting for a change.

Even so , if a fix is done in Ubuntu first it can be sent upstream too.

Not sure what you are even talking about. What would not be useful in
gnome3 ? The icons wont be used ? or the gnome-panel fix?
The gnome-panel fix *is* from gnome-shell. So the sane order is also
maintained in gnome-shell.

Anyways ,the icons wont be dropped and any other bugs just show the
inconsistency of the panel . Could be bugs as a result of the icons but
not humanity-icon-theme bugs... ;)
