I can confirm that this bug exists and has existed since at least 3/3/2005
hoary. For example, using Synaptic, after closing one of it's child windows
(such as just after an install), I am unable to click on the Search button if
the mouse is moved to it too soon. Th e button will be active/available, but I
must move the mouse away from it before moving the mouse back to it. Once this
is done, the rounded cornered square will appear around it, indicating that it
is ready to be pressed. (This rounded cornered square would not have appeared
prior to moving the mouse away from it). Hope this clarifies things.
