Comment 22 for bug 253709

This is a major usability issue. Suppose you want to align the sides of a new plasmoid with the sides of an existing one. In the current situation it is at least a very difficult fail and retry process and I doubt it will leave anyone satisfied in the end. Imagine if you succeed to align the sides and you decide you want the widget to become a bit "taller". It is impossible to do it without messing up the former alignment. This is about an action that happens a lot and people will notice it in no time. I hope it gets fixed soon.
