I have watched about ten new-to-kde4 users try to configure their plasmoids, each and every one of them got frustrated at the non-intuitive behaviour. I dare call it non intuitive because:

1) It differs from establish paradigms.

2) Those with experience moving/resizing windows expect the controls on the top, not the side. The auto-hiding is not a problem (for me it is, but not for people that I ask), but the side-placement is a problem because often the controls appear on the opposite side from what the user expected.

3) Those with experience moving/resizing windows expect that grabbing a corner or side will affect only that side, not the opposite side as well.

4) Those with experience moving/resizing windows expect to align one side of the window with a move operation, and the opposing side with a resize operation. With plasmoids, the user must carefully measure and find the center of their desired location, a difficult task.
