KDS only affects default settings, but not your personnal preferences.
The issue can also be in ~/.kde/share/config/konquerorrc
Can you try to "killall konqueror", remove that file and relaunch.
Google bar should be back then

important: since konqueror preloads one session, it is important to killall it and not simply close the window :)

I just tested here on a new profile and I can see google.
