Bug Description
Binary package hint: kdvi
kdvi's Recommends are set on tetex-bin only (valid on Edgy and Feisty). This can cause problems when installing other related packages (e.g. kile) with aptitude or similar programs when texlive is installed. Recommends should be adjusted to include also the texlive equivalent along with tetex-bin (also considering that tetex is no longer mantained).

Thanks for reporting this issue and helping to make Kubuntu better.
tetex has been taken out of the recommends list.
The debian policy states "The Recommends field should list packages that would be found together with this one in all but unusual installations." It is usual to have kdvi installed without TeX for people who read i.e. research reports or other academic papers that can be downloaded in dvi format, but do not produce themselves documents in TeX.
Therefore, I am closing this issue.
Thanks again.
