I think this bug is related to using devices by uuid inside the fstab and not to KDE or any of its updates.

I have 1 ntfs partition and 2 vfat partitions in my fstab. I had reverted them to the classic /dev/hdXY naming scheme inside the fstab so that I don't have to face this bug. I fully updated my Kubuntu and reverted them back to the uuids again when I saw your comments that this bug is fixed on its own. Actually, nothing changed. When I relogin only the 2 vfats stay mounted, not the ntfs one.

And then I noticed that the two lines for the vfats had the mount option uid=0, whereas the ntfs partition lacked this option. I added it to the ntfs line as well, and the problem seems to have been fixed now.

But I don't think this bug should be closed. I ain't seeing any difference than before and I have to play the "hacker"-role everytime and find which mount options are more friendly for any side-effects to not occur.

So, if you remove the uid=0 options or do anything else "magical" trick, no bug is fixed and the problem is still there. Whether you'd like to run a deeper research into it or not is your matter, but have in mind that an average newbie user will keep seeing his partitions vanishing after relogins.
