Comment 12 for bug 145267

Now you're getting desperate. All packages depend upon the setting of
PATH to work at all. You can hardly leave it blank can you.

The alternative is to alter the package to allow gems to write the
binaries to /usr/bin where they belong.

Which policy would you prefer to change?
