okie now the lpoptions file in .cups is updated accordingly and gnome-cups-manager properly seems to parse it, problem is, I've just printed a doc from evince but my personal settings are still ignored, it's the system wide settings that are being used (i.e. stuff in /etc/cups/pppd)
