BTW, I tried an older version of the nvidia driver when I tried the latest Elive CD, and all looks good 'til I use an app that requires GL "chromium", then the lines appear. It's brief, their appearance, but frequent when I'm using the nvidia driver. Don't know why it never happens with the "nv" driver... will continue to scratch my head about it until someone much smarter than me figures it out :D
