Thanks for the response. The latest kernel available in my repository is linux-image-2.6.15-19-386. Xorg is also up-to-date as per the repo. I have. Again, I am a newbie so let me know where to get the kernel linux-image-2.6.15-20-386.

Also, I have switched to a USB mouse which works perfectly.
