update... its related to the sound... i also tried to turn off the sound daemon and gnome stated up...

to use gconf-editor i also had to kill esd

but the sound card works, so the problem is in esd

i updated the system to see if there is any change, but fail to fix this

i also found that with sound daemon enable, after the gnome startup "locks", if i kill esd it will continue
