I think you misinterpreted my last post. With libata.noacpi=1 i get the same error like when booting the kernel normally, without the acpi=off option.
Sorry to say, but libata.noacpi=1 does nothing for me when booting. Booting with that option will cause still the 'mounting root file system' and then 'waiting for root file system' like already posted in the report.
